Gary Taubes, author of Good Calories and Bad Calories, has come out with a new book. Why We Get Fat And What To Do About It is an updated summary of that earlier work, much quicker and easier to read.

When it comes to weight loss, the current thinking is to simply eat less and exercise more. Yet this tells us nothing as to why we actually accumulate fat. In short, weight loss is all about insulin. Keep your insulin levels properly moderated and you will lose excess body fat - without dieting or exercise.
