Quality Testing verses Organic
Q: Why are none of the products from The AIM Companies™ certified USDA Organic?
We believe that AIM product quality testing is more thorough than organic procedures.
Organic is a standard that is hard to achieve, for any farmer or packager, as it stands for a high standard of quality through procedures to prevent contamination.
The difference between an organic product and a product from The AIM Companies™ is that once a field has been organically certified, products produced from it are not tested to the standard that we test our products at The AIM Companies™.
Instead of pursuing organic certification, we ensure that our products are residue-free through testing. Here is what that looks like from a Quality Assurance (QA) and testing perspective.
Our products are grown under organic standards, and some ingredients are certified organic. However, we do not certify that our packaging facilities are organic.
Instead, we test our products for the absence of pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides. This assay looks for over one hundred different classes of pesticide, fungicide and herbicide residue.
In addition, we also ensure the absence of residual cleaning solvents in over twenty-five different classes. The appearance of any of these chemicals will result in an immediate rejection by Quality Assurance.
The testing does not end there. We also test for microbiological (bacteria) safety, heavy metals, and several other nutritional markers to ensure the highest quality, safest products for our Members.
Note: The AIM Companies™ is always striving for 100% customer satisfaction, going to great lengths to ensure all ingredients used in the nearly fifty skews (barcode) of nutritional products do not contain genetically modified organisms. AIM Members should see product labels that promote this aspect.
