How To Help Your ADHD Child

Research shows the right kind of breakfast can help a child perform better in school.

A 1983 study in the Journal of Psychiatric Research found that children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) who were fed a high-protein breakfast, as compared to a high carbohydrate breakfast, improved in both performance and attention.

Yet getting your kids dressed, teeth brushed, and backpack ready can be tough at the crack of dawn. This often leaves little time to prepare a proper morning meal.

One way to get a high-protein breakfast into the diet of your children is ProPeas®. This vegetable source of protein is a low-sugar, low-carb, gluten-free concentrate.

Sweetened naturally with stevia, ProPeas® tastes great, especially when combined with Cocoa LeafGreens™. The result is a great-tasting smoothie, with a flavor like chocolate milk.

Bon appetit!

Peak Endurance® For More Natural Energy

The results you have come to appreciate from Peak Endurance® are now delivered in a bold, new flavor with added vitamin C and natural electrolytes.

Peak Endurance® electrolyte energy mix now comes in blueberry acai, replacing the former grape flavor. Each 300-gram canister of Peak Endurance® will make up to five-and-a-half gallons of blueberry acai energy electrolyte beverage.

In addition to the flavor change, the formulation of Peak Endurance® has undergone some improvements. Notably, the vitamin C content, which previously accounted for fifty percent of a person’s Recommended Daily Intake (RDI), now accounts for seventy-two percent of the RDI for vitamin C per serving.

A new ingredient in Peak Endurance®, coconut water, is considered nature's best electrolyte. It contributes to the product’s proper balance of all six major electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium and chloride). Other sport and energy drinks, like Gatorade® and Red Bull®, contain at most …

Researchers went on to say a combination of weight training and aerobics is best for overall health.

So if you want the best results for your weight loss efforts, pick up a barbell. Then afterwards, perhaps go for a jog.

The Vaccination Debate by John Rosemond

First, a full disclosure: I have been vaccinated against measles, mumps, diphtheria, rubella, whooping cough, smallpox, and shingles and have had none of these maladies. At one time or another, my wife received all of these same vaccinations. Our kids were both immunized, and they have chosen to have their kids immunized. None of us has ever had an adverse reaction to a vaccination.

The vaccination controversy currently raging in the USA demonstrates that it is possible to be intelligent, sane, and irrational all at the same time.

For example, I recently received an online article written by an obviously intelligent person who was ranting about the imminent possibility, as he sees it, that the government will mandate vaccinations. He refers to America as a “fascist state” and calls doctors who push for the vaccination of children “medical Satanists” who are “assaulting” children with “poisons.” His high school English teachers obviously never told him that name-calling and hyperbole obs…

Estrogen, Fiber and Your Health

At fifteen grams of fiber per day, the average American diet is low in fiber. This can result in high blood estrogen levels. If you have high levels of estrogen, it increases your risk of breast cancer.

However, a high-fiber diet significantly lowers estrogen in the blood stream.

One way to make sure you are getting enough fiber in your diet is fit ’n fiber® Orchard Peach. It is an everyday fiber for safe, effective, consistent results.

P.S. When you have excess estrogen, it can be excreted into the bowel. If you are constipated, the estrogen in your bowel may be reabsorbed into your body.

Studies over the past twenty years have shown women on high fiber diets have lower levels of circulating estrogen. Lower levels of estrogen means less estrogen stimulation of breast tissue, which reduces the risk of breast cancer.

Your Immune System and Sugar

Did you know your immune system takes a beating when you consume sugar?

According to Health Services at Columbia University, when you consume 100 grams of sugar, which is equal to a one liter soda bottle, your white blood cells are 40% less effective at killing germs. This can weaken your immune system for up to five hours.

Also, sugar and Vitamin C are similar in their chemical structure. When you eat sugar, it competes for space in your immune cells with Vitamin C. The more sugar in your system, the less Vitamin C can get into your white blood cells.

Is it time to stop consuming sugar?

The Invisible Deficiency That Could Be Harming Your Health

A recent story, published on, shows magnesium and magnesium deficiency have finally nabbed the spotlight of the mainstream media.

CNN interviewed Dr. Danine Fruge, the Associate Medical Director at the Pritikin Longevity Center in Miami, Florida. He says less than twenty-five percent of the U.S. population receives their daily need of magnesium.

Without magnesium, your heart would not beat. It regulates muscle and nerve function. Magnesium is involved in the production of DNA, protein and bone. It's an electrolyte that helps move electricity through your body. It has a role in blood glucose control as well as blood pressure regulation.

Yet, most people are not aware they are lacking in this crucial micronutrient. That's why magnesium has been called, "The Invisible Deficiency" by medical experts.

It's often hard to see the symptoms of magnesium deficiency because of the difficulty of testing for it. Also, magnesium deficiency is often a side effect of s…
