Happy Birthday, Brady!

I still remember being in the delivery room that morning.

At 11:15 a.m., I heard the nurse say, "Ten fingers and ten toes. He’s perfect."

I cried.

Happy eighth Birthday, Brady! I thank God for you every single day. Daddy loves you!

You Can Go Alkaline with AIM

There are several reasons to switch to an alkaline diet. Studies have indicated it may promote strong bones and muscles, and could also boost cognitive functioning, as well as improve memory.

Additionally, research indicates it could play a role in preventing kidney stones, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and stroke. It’s a good, all-around healthy diet.

However, the main thing we demand from our diets is weight management. An alkaline diet can help you do just that.

From a practical standpoint, if you were to switch from the Standard American Diet heavy on processed foods, sugary desserts, soda pop, and refined grains, to an alkaline diet, you’ll probably lose weight from good old-fashioned calorie reduction.

But the thinking behind an alkaline diet goes beyond calorie restriction. In fact, the diet has no official calorie cap. Acidic foods like processed foods, sugars, and refined grains, change the pH balance of the body’s cellular environment.

An acidic cellular environment can put stre…

The Energy and Health to Enjoy Traveling

My husband, Wayne, and I are both in our early seventies and we do enjoy traveling.

The first thing I pack is our First AIM Kit to help us maintain our health. We use recycled containers for our nutritious AIM powders such as the Garden Trio, ProPeas, and CalciAIM.

Depending on how many days we’ll be traveling, I pack an equal number of small, plastic bags containing a daily supply of encapsulated supplements that include GinkgoSense and PrepZymes.

In celebration of our forty-second anniversary, we planned a Caribbean cruise over Christmas 2014. A few days before our trip, I sent a message to AIM Online to check which products we would need for Jamaica, after hearing about the chikungunya virus spread by mosquito bites. Symptoms include fever, muscle pain, headaches, nausea, and rash. It affected hundreds of thousands of people in the Caribbean, spurring a state of emergency in Jamaica.

AIM suggested that I also pack extra Proancynol 2000 for antioxidants and FloraFood for friendly bacter…

Is There Only One Right Way To Eat For Everyone?

"Much of the comments-section vitriol seems to result from believing there’s exactly one right way to eat. There isn’t. There may be one right way to eat for you and one right way to eat for me, but there’s no right way to eat for everyone. We all came from different genetic backgrounds and we’re all different." - Tom Naughton, writer and creator of the documentary, 'Fat Head'

Red Rush™ Helps Ironman Lew Hollander

"I found Red Rush has been really beneficial in improving my exercise ability. Now, how does that apply to people in general? Obviously, it's the same thing. It keeps your heart running. It's a wonderful addition to your supplement program." - Lew Hollander, Ironman athlete

The Easy Way to Get Your Greens

Lifestyle choices have a significant impact on a the health of a person, especially in regard to nutrition. Going green with AIM nutrition from the inside out makes perfect sense in our modern world. It's the healthiest option that a person can choose.

In the world of plants, the color of life is green. It's a healthy hue due to the chlorophyll that is the lifeblood of our planet's vegetation. This greenery produces the oxygen in the air that we breathe and provides a nutritious food source that can keep us healthy. AIM makes it easy to go internally green with a healthy variety of whole-food concentrates.

BarleyLife® (powder and capsules)

When The AIM Companies™ introduced the juice powder of barley grass to the world in 1982, no one could have predicted the lasting impact of these unparalleled greens on people’s health. Thirty-four years later, BarleyLife® continues to provide a balanced source of natural nutrients from one of the most nutritious grasses on the planet. M…

"Today I am free from urinary tract infections and doing so much better with the fibromyalgia."

"I suffered for over fifteen years with symptoms of urinary tract infections.

Having been diagnosed with fibromyalgia as well, the years were filled with discomfort whenever I had to urinate and severe pain in my back, legs, pelvis, and kidneys.

It was difficult for me to walk or physically do much of anything.

I took many medications, including antibiotics, saw my doctor monthly, and had several hydrodistention of the bladder procedures for my urinary issues. But there was no relief from the pain. Nothing helped.

My son Daniel, an RN in a hospital intensive care unit, became concerned that I was taking so many antibiotics that eventually they would become ineffective against the bacteria causing the infections. He was right.

Over time, nothing helped to stop the recurring urinary tract infections. I was so discouraged, depressed, and tired of having no relief month after month, year after year.

I mentioned my health problems to my church friends, Yoli Huron and Marta King. They…

The Health Benefits of Vitamin A

Most people already know vitamin A is good for eyesight. It helps protect the cornea and has been linked to preventing or reducing several eye-related health concerns: dry eye, superior limbic keratoconjunctivitis, macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa and Stargardt's disease, cataracts and recovery after laser eye surgery.

Furthermore, vitamin A helps you see better in low-light. A deficiency of vitamin A can impair your peripheral vision. It also helps the development of the eyes in fetuses.

Vitamin A for The Immune System

Vitamin A helps boost your immune system by bolstering your entry points, specifically your respiratory tract and mucous membranes.

"Experts have long known that vitamin A plays a role in infection and maintaining mucosal surfaces by influencing certain subcategories of T cells and B cells and cytokines. Vitamin A deficiency is associated with impaired immunity and increased risk of infectious disease. On the other hand, according to one study, suppl…

"We are thankful for AIM products and would not want to be without them!"

Eli and Verna Miller have been produce farmers for years. They learned about The AIM Companies™ through Eli's father, Henry Miller. He became an AIM Member in 1989.

Eli and Verna have been interested in the natural approach to health for a number of years. Verna had breast cancer in 1996 and Eli was diagnosed with non-Hodgins lymphoma in 2007.

Even though they took some chemo treatments, Verna is convinced the AIM products were key in restoring their health.

Eli and Verna use a number of AIM supplements, but recommend Herbal Fiberbend® and the Garden Trio® as a basic foundation for health.

They also take CellSparc 360®, PrepZymes®, AIMega®, FloraFood®, CranVerry+®, and Renewed Balance®.

Most of the Miller family uses some AIM supplements. After all, their hundred-year-old grandfather, Henry Miller, has taken AIM’s green barley powder for twenty-five years. That is a testimony in itself.

Verna says, "We are thankful for AIM products and would not want to be without them!"…

Green Barley Grass - Know The Difference

"To produce a single pound of highly concentrated barley juice powder, it takes fifteen pounds of barley grass. Most competitors use only three pounds to make a pound of powder. And they ground up the entire leaf, rather than juicing it. This means their green powder is indigestible, cellulose fiber. The nutrients are locked within the fiber, so it passes through you without being absorbed." - AIM Biologist and Quality Assurance Manager

P.S. Using organic methods, barley grass crops are grown in the United States in premium, high-nutrient soil without the use of pesticides, herbicides or fungicides. The ground is clean, has never been heavily farmed and there are no nearby smokestack industries. No irrigation system is in place. Rainwater supplies the necessary moisture.

How to Decrease Your Risk of Heart Disease by 20%

A study by the American Heart Association found eating more plant-based foods can reduce your risk of dying from stroke or heart disease by twenty percent.

This large study looked at the eating patterns of half a million Europeans. They found those who ate a diet composed of seventy percent plants and thirty percent animals lowered their risk of cardiovascular disease by a fifth, compared to those who consumed a high animal diet.

Science Daily:

"Instead of drastic avoidance of animal-based foods, substituting some of the meat in your diet with plant-based sources may be a very simple, useful way to lower cardiovascular mortality." - Dr. Camille Lassale, Ph.D., lead author and an epidemiologist at Imperial College London’s School of Public Health

For a variety of healthy, plant-based juices, include CoCoa LeafGreens™ and BarleyLife® Xtra into your daily routine, particularly if you're not the biggest fan of vegetables.

For people who love veggies, BarleyLife® and Leaf G…

"I owned a juicer for about five years and it took me about one hour to make the carrot juice, enough for about two days. Then I found the Garden Trio! Now no mess and no fuss, with these nutritionally dense, powerful AIM powders. Love 'em daily!

By the way, we are active "Junior Seniors" and love to travel a lot to the cottage, to Ireland, Scotland, England on cruises, etc. and the Mover and Shaker cup is perfect for our Garden Trio, wherever we go! As my husband is 71 and I'll be…

March Is National Nutrition Month

One of the official tips of National Nutrition Month is "enjoy your food but eat less of it" because as we age, we don't need as many calories.

AIM Members have access to one of the most nutritionally dense superfoods on the planet: BarleyLife®.

One four-gram serving of BarleyLife® contains two major nutrients and sixteen support-role nutrients, for only fifteen calories. What other superfood can provide so much, in such a small serving?

Three or four healthy, green servings a day enrich the body - without expanding the waistline.

"I don't want people to see diabetes as a death sentence. They can beat it."

In November 2007, Gil Quintana was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It was a family affair: his two sisters were battling the same disease, and he lost his mother to diabetes after caring for her for ten years. Having a parent or sibling with type 2 diabetes can give you a genetic predisposition for this disease.

Lifestyle choices also contributed to his situation.

"I drank six cans of pop daily my entire life," Gil said, "no water, so I did not know the damage I was doing to my body."

Studies show daily consumption of soda increases the risk of type 2 diabetes. Gil was also physically inactive and overweight - two more risk factors. It was time to for him to make some changes.

Gil decided, "This is not how I'm going to die."

Gil heard about nutrition classes being taught by Liana Kopalyan in the Las Vegas church they both attended.

"I started going to her classes in January 2008. I told her right away that I was fighting for my life. Liana said …

Good Health Begins in Your Colon

Cleanse, then nourish. Weed, then feed.

Just like we need to weed our outdoor garden, then feed it nutrients; we need to weed our indoor garden (our colon) with fiber, then feed it nutrients (fruits, vegetables, and more). Life and death begins in the colon (the large intestine).
